It is that time of year once again! Soccer Aid is back and the 2023 edition promises to be one of the most entertaining spectacles in its existence. This will be the 12th time that the high profile clash has been staged since it first launched in 2006. The one-off contest between an England and a World XI combined of former professional players and celebrities has grown and grown, year by year.

Soccer Aid is a charity football game that was created by celebrity duo Robbie Williams and Jonathan Wilkes in 2006. Celebrities and former professional football players are called up to fill up squads from England and a World XI to play their part in raising money in aid of UNICEF, who provide aid all across the globe for children that need it the most.

Over the previous 11 Soccer Aid games, England hold a 6-5 advantage, although World XI have been victorious in each of the last four.

Soccer Aid has returned in 2023 for its latest installment of the charity football game. This year, it shall take place on Sunday 11th June. The match has a designated kick-off time of 7.30pm BST.

Old Trafford, the home of Premier League side Manchester United is the chosen venue for the 2023 edition of Soccer Aid. Seven previous editions of Soccer Aid were also staged at this venue, including the first Soccer Aid in 2016. Wembley Stadium, Stamford Bridge, Etihad Stadium and London Stadium have also previously staged this event.

Paddy McGuinness, Bugzy Malone, Tom Grennan, Mo Farah, Alex Brooker, Chunkz, Joel Corry, Scarlette Douglas, Liam Payne, Danny Dyer, Asa Butterfield and Tom Hiddleston.

The coaching staff will also include actress Vicky McClure, as well as former professional footballers Zavon Hines and David Seaman.

As for World XI, they will be overseen by recently appointed Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino and actor Martin Compston. The remainder of the coaching staff is made up of Pochettino's long-time assistant Jesús Pérez, former footballer Robbie Keane and Spice Girl Melanie C.

Yes, the match will be shown on ITV at 6:30pm, with kick-off set for 7.30pm.

At 10pm, Soccer Aid Extra Time will be broadcast on ITV4 for all the reaction from Soccer Aid 2023, including interviews and analysis.

For the first time in Soccer Aid history, singer Tom Grennan will not only play in the game, but he will be performing at half-time. The 28-year-old, who is a Manchester United supporter, will also be performing at Glastonbury 2023 later this month.
