Brentford vs Manchester City: Predicted line
The champions have nothing to play for
Manchester City will travel to Brentford on Sunday to face Thomas Frank's side on the last matchday of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
The Sky Blues have already won the Premier League title, this being the fifth time they've achieved that feat in six years.
Pep Guardiola's side are unbeaten in their last 25 games across all competitions. After they play away at Brentford, they are scheduled to face Manchester United in the FA Cup final on June 3 and Inter in the Champions League decider one week later.
As for Brentford, Frank's side are still pushing for European qualification, currently sitting ninth in the table. To clinch the Conference League spot, they need to beat Manchester City and hope both Spurs and Aston Villa to drop points on Sunday.
Christian Norgaard, Pontus Jansson and Keane Lewis-Potter remain out injured for the hosts, while Ivan Toney has been suspended from all football-related activity for eight months over betting breaches.
Meanwhile, Guardiola should have both Phil Foden and John Stones at his disposal after subbing them off against Brighton on Wednesday as a precaution. Ruben Dias, Jack Grealish, Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji and Aymeric Laporte are all doubtful through injuries.
Brentford's predicted line-up (4-3-3): Raya; Hickey, Mee, Pinnock, Henry; Jensen, Janelt, Onyeka; Mbeumo, Wissa, Schade
Manchester City's predicted line-up (3-2-4-1): Ederson; Walker, Dias, Laporte; Rodri, Lewis; Mahrez, Alvarez, Gundogan, Foden; Haaland.
Sunday afternoon's match between Brentford and Manchester City kicks off at 16:30 BST, which is local time in England.
For American viewers, the match will begin at 11:30 ET / 08:30 PT.
The Premier League clash between Brentford and Manchester City will take place at the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday, May 28.
This duel will not be broadcast live in the UK, but viewers in the USA can tune in via Peacock.
