Manchester City are dreaming of a treble, but first they'll have to beat United to get their hands on their second piece of silverware this season
Almost all of the talk around Manchester City of late has had the word 'treble' included, but before their Champions League date with Inter in Istanbul, they have their sights set on a second piece of silverware for the season as they face Manchester United at Wembley in the FA Cup final on Saturday, June 3.
Pep Guardiola's Sky Blues have already won the Premier League title, making that the fifth of the last six on offer that the Citizens have got their hands on. United, meanwhile, are eyeing a domestic cup double after beating Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final earlier this season. As well, Erik ten Hag has guided the Red Devils back into the Champions League for 2023/24, securing a top-four finish with a game left to spare.
Guardiola and City have a number of concerns ahead of the FA Cup final, with Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish, Ruben Dias and Manuel Akanji all doubtful. Nathan Ake is in contention to play, as is John Stones.
United have issues too, with Anthony Martial, Lisandro Martinez, Marcel Sabitzer, Donny van de Beek and Tom Heaton all sidelined.
